# Progress charts

> Progress toward a goal or target

Progress charts show how close a metric is to a goal. Use them for targets where the main question is whether the team is on track.

## When to use

* Quota attainment
* Goal completion
* Budget usage
* Progress through an operational target

* Use a current value and a target value.
