About the role
We're looking for a founding account executive to be our first dedicated seller. You'll own the full sales cycle, close enterprise deals, and help define how Basedash sells as we scale.
This is a true founding role. You'll work closely with the President to land customers, sharpen the pitch, and turn what works into a repeatable playbook the rest of the team can run.
What you'll do
- Own the full sales cycle — prospecting, discovery, demos, negotiation, and close.
- Close enterprise deals and consistently hit (and beat) revenue targets.
- Help build and refine the sales playbook from real, in-market reps.
- Surface what's working and what isn't to shape positioning, pricing, and process.
- Work directly with the President on go-to-market strategy and priorities.
- Partner with product and talk to customers to sharpen the pitch.
Who you are
- Experienced account executive with a track record of closing enterprise deals.
- Comfortable owning the entire sales cycle solo in an early-stage environment.
- Self-starter who thrives with high autonomy and little process.
- Strong technical aptitude — can sell a technical product to technical buyers.
- Excited to help build the sales motion, not just inherit an existing one.
- Based in Canada or the US, with overlapping working hours.
Nice to have
- Experience selling in the data space — BI, analytics, databases, or developer tooling.
- Early-stage or founding go-to-market experience.
- Track record of being a top performer on a sales team.
