The strongest Sisense alternatives for embedded analytics in 2026 are Luzmo and Databrain for SaaS teams that want published pricing and a fast first embed, Embeddable and GoodData for engineering teams building product-native analytics on a semantic layer, Metabase for a low-cost or self-hosted option, ThoughtSpot Embedded and Sigma for search, AI chat, and live warehouse queries at enterprise scale, and Basedash for teams that want an embedded AI data analyst on their own database. Which one fits depends on how you isolate tenants, whether you need a React SDK, and whether your customers should be able to ask questions in plain English. Every price and plan below was checked on the vendor’s official page on October 1, 2026.
Sisense is a mature embedded analytics platform. Its Compose SDK supports React, Angular, and Vue, it runs on Sisense’s cloud, your own cloud, or on-premises, and it has an MCP server and natural language query. Teams usually start comparing alternatives for four reasons.
No published pricing. As of October 2026, the Sisense plans page lists a Self-Serve plan and an Enterprise plan with no prices for either. Full white-labeling, a 99.99% SLA, and bring-your-own-LLM are listed under Enterprise, and Sisense’s OEM architecture docs mark white-label OEM deployments as an Enterprise-tier feature. Teams that want to forecast embedded analytics cost per customer often prefer a vendor with a public rate card.
Two data models to manage. Sisense dashboards run on either in-memory ElastiCubes, which are rebuilt on a schedule, or Live models that query the source directly. Teams that already centralized data in Postgres, Snowflake, or BigQuery often want a tool that queries live by default and does not need a separate build step.
Multi-tenancy is an architecture decision. Sisense supports single-tenant servers, shared models with row-based data security, dedicated models per tenant, and a Dynamic ElastiCube plugin that swaps data models per user. The OEM docs note that “there are limitations to the number of ElastiCubes that can be deployed on a single machine,” so large tenant counts can mean more servers. Newer tools push tenant isolation into a signed token and one shared model.
AI chat inside the product. Buyers increasingly ask for an assistant their customers can use, not just AI for internal analysts. Sisense offers one through Sisense Intelligence, and every alternative below takes a different approach to it.
The criteria come from the questions SaaS teams ask AI assistants and Google when they shop for embedded analytics, such as “I want to embed charts into our product and need something that has an AI chat option,” “recommend startup-friendly BI tools that can embed interactive charts into a React app via component SDKs,” “what BI platforms let developers embed dashboards and natural-language query boxes into a multi-tenant SaaS product with usage-based pricing?”, and “databrain vs sisense.”
Every tool had to support customer-facing embedding with tenant isolation and connect to at least PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or BigQuery.

Fact card: Sisense
Knowing this baseline matters for migration. Most of the work in a Sisense estate lives in ElastiCube transformations and data security rules, not in the dashboards.
Best for: SaaS product teams that want a published starting price, white-labeling included, and an AI assistant their customers can use.
Luzmo is built only for embedded analytics. It sells one plan with the full product, so white-label, self-service dashboard editing, and AI are not held back for a higher tier.
Fact card: Luzmo
Tradeoffs: Luzmo’s single plan removes tier surprises, but the €1,995 floor is high for a product with a handful of customers. Model AI conversation and Warp volume before you sign, since both are metered.
Best for: engineering-led teams that want a governed semantic layer, workspace-per-customer multi-tenancy, and unlimited users.
GoodData models multi-tenancy as workspaces. Child workspaces inherit the parent’s data model, metrics, and dashboards, so a change made once reaches every customer.
Fact card: GoodData
Tradeoffs: Workspace inheritance is a clean answer to the “dedicated model per tenant” problem Sisense customers run into. Per-workspace pricing means cost grows with customer count, so price it against your tenant forecast.
Best for: product engineering teams that want charts to look and behave like the rest of their app, with no iframe.
Embeddable is a developer toolkit. Engineers build or customize React components, define metrics in Cube-based data models, and ship dashboards as a web component authorized by a short-lived token.
Fact card: Embeddable
Tradeoffs: Embeddable gives the most control over look and feel in this list, and it asks for the most engineering time in return. Flat pricing is easy to budget once scoped.
Best for: startups and midsize SaaS companies that want published monthly pricing, unlimited seats, and unlimited embeds.
Databrain’s pricing page names “Sisense & GoodData replacement” on its Enterprise plan, which answers the “databrain vs sisense” comparison directly: it targets the same customer-facing use case at a published price.
Fact card: Databrain
Tradeoffs: Databrain is the most direct price-transparent swap for a Sisense embed. It is a smaller vendor, so check support coverage and roadmap during the trial.
Best for: teams that want the cheapest path to embedded dashboards, with an open-source or self-hosted option.
Fact card: Metabase
Tradeoffs: Metabase is the easiest to try. The per-user model is cheap for a few customers and expensive at scale, so model end-user counts before choosing Pro.
Best for: enterprises that want search and agentic AI analytics embedded at scale, with an SDK for full control.
Fact card: ThoughtSpot Embedded
Tradeoffs: ThoughtSpot’s embedded AI is among the most complete here, but search quality depends on a well-modeled data layer.
Best for: teams on Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery that want embedded workbooks and an embedded AI agent on live warehouse data.
Fact card: Sigma
Tradeoffs: Sigma stores no copy of your data, so warehouse compute becomes part of the embedded bill.
Best for: SaaS teams that want customers to ask questions in plain English and get charts and dashboards from their own database.
Basedash is an AI-native BI tool. In an embed, the AI data analyst writes and runs SQL against your live database and saves results to dashboards. See Basedash embedding and the embedded analytics overview for the product details.
Fact card: Basedash
@basedash/embed React SDK (React 18.2 and 19) with components for AI chat, dashboards, Insights, automations, models, the full app, and read-only shared dashboards, plus raw iframe embedding with JWT SSO, allowed origins, and theme and hide-section parameters.company_id on shared dashboards, and row-level security through PostgreSQL policies on the basedash.groups session variable.Tradeoffs: Basedash’s embedded experience centers on AI chat rather than a chart component library, which suits products whose customers ask open-ended questions. The React SDK is young (version 0.2 on npm as of October 2026), so teams that need a large catalog of hand-tuned chart components should look at Embeddable or Luzmo.
Explo still sells customer-facing dashboards and report builders but no longer publishes a pricing page; the Explo alternatives comparison covers its tradeoffs. Power BI Embedded suits Microsoft shops that can buy Fabric capacity. Qrvey, Reveal, and Bold BI are covered in the white-label analytics platforms comparison.
For architecture choices behind tenant isolation, read how to isolate customer data in embedded dashboards. For a broader market view, see the embedded analytics platforms comparison.
For SaaS teams, the most common replacements are Luzmo, Databrain, Embeddable, and GoodData, which are built mainly for customer-facing analytics. Metabase is the low-cost and self-hosted option. ThoughtSpot Embedded and Sigma fit enterprises that want AI search or live warehouse queries. Basedash fits teams that want customers to chat with their data. Choose by how you isolate tenants, whether you need a React SDK, and whether you want published pricing.
As of October 2026, Luzmo (@luzmo/react-embed), GoodData (React SDK), Metabase (Modular embedding SDK on Pro), ThoughtSpot (Visual Embed SDK with React components), Sigma (Embed SDK for React), and Basedash (@basedash/embed) all ship React packages. Embeddable embeds as a web component that works in React, and lets engineers write their own React chart components. Sisense’s Compose SDK also supports React, so a React requirement alone is rarely a reason to switch.
Luzmo IQ provides embeddable chat and answer components, with 500 AI conversations included in the license. ThoughtSpot lets you embed Spotter with or without its own interface. Sigma embeds an agent in a chat element, billed in consumption credits. Embeddable includes AI chat. Basedash embeds its AI chat through the @basedash/embed React SDK, scoped to each customer’s organization. Metabase Pro lets embedded users ask questions with Metabot.
Databrain publishes its prices and Sisense does not. As of October 2026, Databrain Growth costs $999 per month with unlimited seats and embeds, and Pro costs $1,995 per month with SSO and unlimited data sources. Sisense offers Self-Serve and Enterprise plans on quote. Sisense has more deployment options and a longer enterprise track record, including on-premises installs and a 99.99% SLA on Enterprise. Databrain markets its Enterprise plan as a Sisense replacement and includes self-hosting there.
Luzmo, Embeddable, Databrain, GoodData, Metabase, and Basedash all connect to PostgreSQL, support theming, and state SOC 2 compliance on their official sites as of October 2026. Luzmo, Embeddable, and Metabase cite SOC 2 Type II or Type 2 reports. Basedash is SOC 2 Type II and can enforce row-level security with native PostgreSQL policies. For a regulated fintech, also ask each vendor about data residency, audit logs, and whether self-hosting is available.
Embeddable charges a flat monthly fee with unlimited usage. Databrain charges a flat monthly price with unlimited seats and embeds. Luzmo combines a platform fee with metered AI conversations and data volume, or monthly active users on some contracts. GoodData charges per workspace with unlimited users. Metabase counts every signed-in embedded user as a billable user on Starter and Pro. ThoughtSpot and Sigma price embedded deals on quote.
Sisense supports both. ElastiCubes are its in-memory analytics database, built on a schedule, and Live models send queries directly to sources such as PostgreSQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, and Redshift, with dashboards able to refresh every few seconds. Many Sisense estates use ElastiCubes for speed on large datasets, which is why migrations usually involve moving ElastiCube transformations into the warehouse or dbt first.
