Today we’re launching Insights, a new way to stay on top of everything happening in your data — without lifting a finger.
Insights is an AI agent that runs against all your connected data sources every day. It explores everything, finds the most important patterns, anomalies, and milestones, and surfaces them in a clean feed with charts, context, and recommended next steps.
Think of it like having a world-class data analyst who works around the clock, reads every table, and brings you the signal without the noise.
Most teams treat analytics reactively. Something feels off, someone asks a question, and then begins the cycle: open a dashboard, write a query, wait for results, try to figure out what changed and why.
The problem is that this cycle is slow, and it only catches the things you think to look for. The most important findings are often the ones you didn’t expect.
Insights flips this model. Instead of you asking questions, the AI proactively tells you what’s happening. It finds the onboarding drop-off you didn’t notice, the revenue milestone you should celebrate, the marketing campaign that quietly started outperforming — all before you thought to look.
We built Insights because we believe the future of analytics is proactive. The best data teams don’t just answer questions — they surface the questions worth asking.
Every day, the Insights agent:
The AI prioritizes findings based on magnitude of change, potential business impact, and relevance. It’s not just looking for spikes — it’s looking for the spikes that matter.
Insights spans every area of your business:
You don’t need to configure what to look for. The agent explores everything and brings you what matters.
We’ve been running Insights internally for weeks, and it’s already changed how we operate.
Last week, Insights caught a regression in our onboarding flow that we hadn’t noticed in our dashboards. Step 3 completion had dropped 18%, and the AI traced it to a recent schema change that broke auto-detection for a common database type. We fixed it the same day.
It also surfaced that our MRR had quietly crossed a major milestone — something we would have discovered eventually, but Insights made sure the whole team knew immediately.
The best part: none of this required anyone to ask a question, build a dashboard, or write a query. The insights just appeared.

Insights is available today for all Basedash users.
You can enable email or Slack notifications from the Insights page header so you never miss an important finding.

Insights is just the beginning of proactive analytics at Basedash. We’re working on making the agent smarter over time — learning what matters most to your team, connecting findings across time periods, and going deeper on the areas you care about.
Combined with AI chat for ad-hoc questions and Automations for custom scheduled workflows, Insights completes the picture: Basedash now covers reactive, scheduled, and proactive analytics in one platform.
Try Insights today and let your data come to you.
